Fha 90 day flip rule 2022. FHA has issued guideance on their 90 day property flipping rule which temporarily suspends seasoning requirements in certain cases. Also an automatic waiver of the 90-day flipping rule is in effect for cases with the following characteristics. FHA WILL NOT ALLOW financing of homes considered a flip less than 90 days from the deed recordation date.

For a number of years now FHA has enforced a 90 day anti-flipping rule which prevents an investor from reselling a home to a buyer using FHA financing until that have owned the property for at least 90 days. If a property is considered a 90 day flip FHA will not finance the property. The 90-day clock starts from the deed recording date which is the date when the seller stakes ownership.

The FHA flipping rule is broken down into two time periods. There are some exceptions to the rule but they usually do not apply to people flipping homes. The FHA 90 day rule is simply one of the rules of the game.
